The location was excellent. It was directly off highway 6 and 1/2 way mark between the Scranton airport and the location where I was working. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were easily assessable for questions and were extremely helpful. They were working on transitioning to Apple TV during my stay and I was unable to watch however this did not affect me in anyway. I preferred the quiet and the ability to rest. There were some great places to eat close by (Alexanders was terrific- I went twice. McDonnells Restaurant was within walking distance of a couple of buildings was very reasonably priced and nostalgic). The free hotel breakfast was a grade up from other hotels where I've stayed. They had great french toast and coffee! I did not try the other options. I highly recommend the hotel and would choose this hotel again in the future if in the area.

Very good family style hotel in the middle of the Pensylvania coal basin, referenced with big coal blocks at the reception hall. Friendly staff was taking care on all needs and gave recommedations on evening entertainment. Room are spacious and very clean. The new modern Apple TV's are good for everybody want to stream movies and series. The restaurant and breakfast are pretty good even with fresh fruits and cheese omelette. The coffee is presented in big cans, but often renewed, The best hotel during my trip and best booked via hotel search platforms. Parking is free in sheltered garage behind the hotel.

The property is very clean, extremely well appointed and exceptionally comfortable. It was once a theatre - way back when - and today as a Select Registry property, more than exceeds the expectations of that designation. We loved the pictures enlarged by the historical society depicting the coal mining era of the town. Dinner and breakfast were great. It has a large outdoor seating area perfect for business gatherings and a banquet hall that seats over 400. The lobby features three large pieces of the coal mined in the area. After a long drive and a cold day, the lit fireplace was very welcoming. Q

The breakfast was new to us as this was not done when we were there 5 years ago. It was very enjoyable, and Marlene does a great job keeping things replenished and picking up dishes, etc. As a suggestion, the cloth napkins were a little pretentious for breakfast, and most hotel breakfast set ups have a place to put your dirty dishes making it easier for the staff. The food was very good, although a few changes to the daily menu would be nice for those guests staying more than one night. The managers were very diligent in making sure things were running smoothly throughout the hotel.

The staff is AMAZING! When we arrived, the desk clerk already had our paperwork and keys prepared. The facility is beautiful, especially the courtyard. There plenty of parking. Our room was large a d everything was clean and orderly. But it was the little details that made this place really stand apart! The decor was consistent throughout, starting with the anthracite sculpture in the lobby to the artwork on the walls to the name of the cafe and the restaurant. We felt immersed in the history of the are and the culture of the people.
